On October 17th, Dr. Frances Durocher and our treasurer Ira Philip offered a grant writing workshop during lunch recess (11-12 am) to 23 (!!!) students from Grade 5 to Grade 12 and teachers who wanted to learn how and why to apply for a grant.
The workshop covered topics like examples of real life applications of grant writing, explanations of the grant writing application process at BBIS or steps in writing an application. Ongoing support until the grant application deadline is given, too.
A Big Thank you to Dr. Frances Durocher for such a great overview, to our PTA treasurer Ira Philip to make it visible and to all who helped organizing this event, participated and supported us in our work!
