Join a BBIS community parent club or start your own. If you would like to offer an activity, course or club for parents contact the PTA at pta@bbis.de.
Clubs can meet in the Parent Lounge in House 4, the house just before the Blue Box. Here the school created a room near the entrance for parents to meet and relax. There is a kitchen with all the necessary equipment, chairs, tables and a sofa. So feel free to drop in any time. PTA also have added a bookshelf and a collection of books to be borrowed. Please feel free to take a book and bring in any others you are willing to donate, in any language.

BBIS Book Club meets monthly on Tuesdays (usually the second Tuesday of the month) Members read whatever books they are interested in and then tell the group about them. We have a crate of books that we bring to each meeting so that you can borrow a book or add a book that you no longer want to our collection.
Our next Book Club is on Tuesday November 14th at 9:30. Email Trena for location details. We would be excited to have new book lovers join us!

Berlin Museum Club
Berlin is famous throughout the world for its impressive collections of paintings and objects from prehistory, classic antiquity and into the 20th century.
The Museum Club meets once a month for an hour long informal tour given by Dr. Frances Durocher, focusing on selected objects in museum collections throughout Berlin. Afterwards, we meet for a coffee and discussion at a Café.
The Museum Club’s first tour was at the Pergamon, one of Berlin’s most visited museums. It is famous for displaying several monumental architectural structures and objects from the ancient and historical world. Highlights include the Ishtar Gate of Babylon (seen in the pictures below), the Market Gate of Miletus, the Aleppo Room and the Mschatta Facade. The Pergamon Altar is presently not on exhibit, but will reopen in 2019.
The Pergamon Museum is a wonderful museum for children to explore the ancient and historical world. The objects and the architectural reconstructions help them imagine what it would be like to have lived in ancient times. I highly recommend this as a fun family activity, especially for the upcoming cold winter months!
If interested or you would like more information, please contact fmdurocher@hotmail.com or visit the Facebook page – The Museum Club at BBIS.

Booster Club
The BBIS Booster Club is a group of parents who support our athletic department. Our main activity revolves around BBIS hosted sports tournaments, where we organize a concession stand selling food and drinks, as well as assisting the athletic department with the sports banquet at the end of the year.
This is a fun way to be involved and get to know fellow parents, as well as the student athletes and coaches.
If you'd like to be involved, please contact Emily Gardze at egardze@gmail.com.
Our next event will be the ESC Varsity Boys Basketball tournament taking place in March. We'd love to have your support!
